Make Everyone’s Life Better Again
I strongly urge the Cameroon government to genuinely engage Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and the other members of the Nera 10 as part of an inclusive effort to end the war in the North-West and South-West.
His influence among a significant section of the population makes him an important interlocutor for peace. Serious talks should address an immediate ceasefire, civilian protection, the release of crisis-related detainees and a negotiated political settlement.
This call extends beyond the Nera 10. Other stakeholders—in detention, within affected communities and in the diaspora—also have voices that matter. A credible peace process must give them a meaningful opportunity to be heard.
Engaging Sisiku Ayuk Tabe is an act of responsibility. Saving lives must take precedence over political pride. Every family deserves the chance to live in peace again.
Let us open the door to dialogue before another family buries a loved one.
